No matter what the odds are this time

I just found a CD wallet with a bunch of mix CDs I made for myself like 10 years ago. I thought to myself that the Perfect Strangers theme song would have been great. AND THE NEXT TRACK WAS THE PERFECT STRANGERS THEME SONG.

So I serenaded my cat Abe.

My friends and I used to serenade each other with the song "Carlita" by Goldfinger. More of that in 2013.

01/26

Remember how I mentioned North Wood's restaurant a couple weeks ago, and how it's a place for special occasions? Know what makes it less special? When you go two weeks later.  The 26th was my mom's "second" birthday. I actually had something really cool planned out. Nick Offerman was doing a show at Largo in L.A. I've really been wanting to go see a show at Largo, but a lot of the cool ones happen during the week and even though it's less than an hour away from me I just haven't made it. So that show would have been perfect because I love Nick Offerman, and my mom needs to love Nick Offerman. However in the couple days that I was trying to coordinate with my sister about birthday plans the show sold out. And there were no other comedy shows that I thought would be perfect. So it was a bit of a bummer for sure. Since plan A fell through, and I had no plan B I didn't really get the chance to surprise her with anything cool. So I let her pick and she chose North Woods. Again. Just like last year. It's ok, it was still good.

Ok, creep.

A mom and her rita.

HA HA HA Let's put ALL THE DRINKS in front of Megan.

01/25

Finally a nice rainy day.

01/24

Legos, not Lego. No one says "let's go play Lego!" Stop that.

01/23:

This was my mom's "first" birthday. My sister couldn't get off work on the weekend, so we went down to Tony's in Redondo during the week.

Firechief Mai-Tai

Making friends.

Chomp.

He's like "it's finally MY day to shine!"

Macro Firechief. I swear I didn't Photoshop in the heart.

I had to get a nailpolish named Megan, obvs.

From 01/21:

My friend Jacara tried scheduling a Christmas get-together in December, but everyone ended up with the death plague so it was postponed until today. Jacara lives like five seconds from Disneyland, so we stopped into the Lego store at Downtown Disney real quick beforehand.

Also, from Jacara's balcony she can see the Disney fireworks EVERY. NIGHT. And she like totally doesn't even care and is like whatevs! I get so essited every time I'm over there and I can see them. I'm not into the Disney culture, but how can fireworks every night feel less than, well, enchanted I guess. All of that side of the friend family either works at Disney or is just obsessed with some aspect of Disney, so you'd think they'd be really into it.
